Our Mission is to Train Pastors & Church Leaders in East Africa
In 2016, as I neared the completion of my Master’s degree in Seminary, a significant moment unfolded during a conversation with my missions professor. He had been expounding on missions in Africa, and while some of his observations were indeed accurate, his portrayal of Africa was quite grim. He depicted it as a continent inhabited by largely illiterate, impoverished individuals, perpetually embroiled in civil conflict. Being the only African in class, I felt a strong inner urge to voice my perspective…

Why Our Mission Matters...
Statistically, the majority of pastors in Africa would not qualify to join formal Bible Schools and seminaries, even if they could afford it—something most of them cannot. This creates a pressing need for alternative educational approaches. Empower Africa addresses this issue by designing an education model that is non-formal in nature. This approach ensures that pastors and church leaders, who might not qualify for formal education, have the opportunity to receive quality training.
